Last week, I encouraged everyone who linked up for Tasty Tuesday to show some love and community through this blog carnival. Thank you SO much for doing that. I received many emails that people received comments for the first time and that is the best feeling ever, so thank you for taking it seriously. It’s a great thing to continue.
This week, I’m continue on with my “31 Day” theme of highlighting “women who rock it” – that’s you.
Whether you are a reader with no blog or a blogger who would love to have one of your recipes featured, I invite you to submit your favorite simple holiday recipes to be featured on Balancing Beauty and Bedlam.
We all experience those moments when we have to whip up something, but don’t have the time to spend hours creating. My favorite “go-to” recipes are those that are simply delicious, everyone asks for the recipe, and then the “baker” grins because they know just how easy it truly was to make.
I have a whole repertoire of those simple recipes that I will be rolling out over the next two months, and I invite yours to be one of them. My desire is that this be one place that if you are in a pinch for simple holiday ideas, you know you will find something here. From my famous Pumpkin Bars, Chocolate Toffee Bars (on Saltines), Marinated Cheese Appetizer, or even my Butterhorn Rolls Recipe, these are all great examples. Now, my Homemade Copy Cat Cinnabon recipe is my all time favorite, but I would never consider it “simple,” definitely worth it, but not easy, so I would not submit that.
From appetizers to desserts to savory dishes perfect for company, send them on in.  Since many host over night company, I will also be including dishes for groups. I have quite a few breakfast casseroles set to post, but if you have some special holiday dishes that you always make for company, I’d love to hear the story behind your recipe as well.
My simple, holiday recipes feature will begin immediately and run through New Years, and I can’t wait to include yours.
Bloggers, you are free to submit a recipe already posted on your site. Just personalize it for this feature and send it on in. All credit will go to you, along with your bio and a link to your blog.
I love original recipes, but if you are adapting it from another source, etiquette recommends that you change the recipe to make it your own, and then credit the original source.
To submit a recipe, please fill out the submission form below. Recipes will only be considered with at least one clear, quality photo included in the submission. I highly recommend Picnik.com for editing your photos before you submit your post, and it’s free.
