Simple Holiday Recipes: Have Yours Featured Here

Last week, I encouraged everyone who linked up for Tasty Tuesday to show some love and community through this blog carnival. Thank you SO much for doing that. I received many emails that people received comments for the first time and that is the best feeling ever, so thank you for taking it seriously. It’s a great thing to continue.

This week, I’m continue on with my “31 Day” theme of highlighting “women who rock it” – that’s you.

Whether you are a reader with no blog or a blogger who would love to have one of your recipes featured, I invite you to submit your favorite simple holiday recipes to be featured on Balancing Beauty and Bedlam.

We all experience those moments when we have to whip up something, but don’t have the time to spend hours creating. My favorite “go-to” recipes are those that are simply delicious, everyone asks for the recipe, and then the “baker” grins because they know just how easy it truly was to make.

I have a whole repertoire of those simple recipes that I will be rolling out over the next two months, and I invite yours to be one of them. My desire is that this be one place that if you are in a pinch for simple holiday ideas, you know you will find something here. From my famous Pumpkin Bars, Chocolate Toffee Bars (on Saltines), Marinated Cheese Appetizer, or even my Butterhorn Rolls Recipe, these are all great examples. Now, my Homemade Copy Cat Cinnabon recipe is my all time favorite, but I would never consider it “simple,” definitely worth it, but not easy, so I would not submit that.

From appetizers to desserts to savory dishes perfect for company, send them on in.  Since many host over night company, I will also be including dishes for groups. I have quite a few breakfast casseroles set to post, but if you have some special holiday dishes that you always make for company, I’d love to hear the story behind your recipe as well.

My simple, holiday recipes feature will begin immediately and run through New Years, and I can’t wait to include yours.

Bloggers, you are free to submit a recipe already posted on your site. Just personalize it for this feature and send it on in. All credit will go to you, along with your bio and a link to your blog.

I love original recipes, but if you are adapting it from another source, etiquette recommends that you change the recipe to make it your own, and then credit the original source.

To submit a recipe, please fill out the submission form below. Recipes will only be considered with at least one clear, quality photo included in the submission. I highly recommend for editing your photos before you submit your post, and it’s free.

  1. Great idea! I have a ton of holiday cookie recipes, I’ll pick my favorite and submit it. Thanks for hosting!

  2. I linked up a giveaway for a Real Food Basics ebook that ends today (I hope giveaway links are ok?). There is something for everyone in this book. There is a nice selection of easy recipes, particularly if you want to go try some more natural alternatives ingredients. Thanks for hosting!

  3. Thank you for offering to put up some great recipes from fellow bloggers. I think that’s so nice of you. It’s why I started my blog-to feature others and share what I find and how it works for me. You’re such a great example!

  4. Danielle M. says:

    Hey lady.

This is very late (and has nothing to do with recipes), but I wanted to say thanks for the 31 days series. I know it had to have taken a significant amount of time and energy. And while I know y’all make income from your blogs, that still was a blessing to have so much wonderful reading material. It was very appreciated.

  5. Oh can’t wait to submit my easy holiday meal recipes. . .I need to take some photos of it. Guess that means I will be making it soon. Thanks for the opportunity to possibly be featured on your blog. . wow!

  6. Loving all of the great fall recipes everyone has been sharing. As always thanks for hosting. Linking up with a Creamy Ham and Cabbage Soup this week.

  7. Can’t wait for the holiday recipes! I *need* quick easy ideas to add to my repertoire. 🙂

  8. Great recipe ideas all. Today I bring a recipe for a quick and easy fudge that can be made in many flavors. Just the thing to have in your holiday goody file. Thanks for hosting this wonderful party.

  9. I just have to add that life was happening last week, and I did not link up so did not see your post so I am going to comment here. Thought the post was great and wouldn’t it be wonderful if we all did that each week and commented on at least two other blogs. Although I try to visit and comment on at least two blogs at each party I attend, I sometimes don’t. I must remember that it doesn’t necessarily have to be done that day, just go do it. Thanks for the reminder.

  10. Thanks so much for hosting.. I love all the recipes each week. I’m looking forward to your simple recipe collection — great idea to have lots of easy ideas all in one place.

  11. Jen, this is such a great idea and inspiration for the holidays! I’ll have to ponder my best recipes and then submit. In the mean time, I linked my frugal yobaby yogurt made from crock pot yogurt. I’ve been doing this since this summer and saving myself a ton of money. Thanks for hosting this fun swap.

  12. Looking forward to all the great holiday recipes Jen! Thanks again for hosting and seeing (and leaving) some extra comments last week made things more fun for sure!
