filled with anticipation and expectation of things to come.
Time passes, reality resumes, and you realize that your searching was in vain.
What you were looking for was not found in a magical moment;
“the moment” was right in front of you the entire time.
On this December 26 (when quite possibly there has been a count down to a let down),
may you have time to reflect that it truly is the little things that are the big things…
in Life, Love, and our relationship with our Lord.
That is the cutest picture ever!! Merry Christmas, hope your was wonderful.
I have only been reading your blog for a couple of months, but it is so inspiring and often is put before me just when I need it most!
Thank you for all you give to us.
Hope you had a Merry Christmas.
What smart words!
So true & I am counting those blessings (along with the peace & quiet) right now.
We are leaving today to head over to Arizona – spending a few days with some of our favorite relatives, so the uniqueness of the holiday continues — with Jesus swirling in the midst of its FULLNESS … in fact, MAKING it FULL!!
Merriest Christmas to you!
Jen,
I really needed to hear that today. Thanks for your inspiring words. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas.
This is SO true. Thanks for this. Last night as we felt the inevitable sadness that “it” was over, we realized that the gift is that we have HIM everyday…. and a New Year just brings more opportunities to know Him better!
Well said, Jen! So often we set ourselves up for disappointment, whether it’s in our expectations of gifts we want, or the way our family (immidiate or extended) will act around us. I have trouble finding contentment when I really should just focus on the Lord and allow Him to give me what I truly need!
A great reminder! And your little poser is doing so good at her job. 🙂
what a great post. I love the castle in the background. So appropriate. Can’t wait til BlissDom so we can hang out!
Merry Christmas, Jen! Kelly
I love the down time! Ahhh … cute pix too!
Praise the Lord!!! If we are not looking towards that which is eternal then we will always be let down.
