Last week, I shared my free “Are you Ready?” hygiene checklist for you to print, and hang in the bathroom. Yes, I always created something for our children to look at since they needed a few little reminders to help them build up those “easy to forget” habits.
Feel free to print it off and use the “his and hers” charts for your own children.
At the bottom of the printable, it says, “Smile.”
For years, we have drilled the importance of a strong, warm, and confident smile. First impressions are created in the first few minutes of meeting new people and a smile has a way of reaching out and encouraging others when often words might lack something. A smile brings joy to life. An engaging and authentic smile crosses cultural and language barriers, as our children learned last summer when we went on a family service project to Guatemala. They couldn’t communicate with words, but smiles created instant friendships, especially with the young children.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to smile with confidence if you haven’t been diligent in brushing your teeth. I know for our kids, they would be totally self conscious.
Since my kids are at the age where fresh breath and white teeth are important to them, as a mom, it’s been interesting to watch their transformation from not caring at all, to wanting a definite say in their preference of toothpastes.
I switched to Arm & Hammer Advance White Toothpaste this month and my teens are wanting me to continue buying it. I think just something about knowing that Baking Soda is such a great whitener really makes them like this product, and I really enjoy it as well.
This summer, the maker of ARM & HAMMER® products challenged me to switch products. As part of their campaign, they are giving away $12,000 in the ARM & HAMMER Switch & Save Challenge Sweepstakes. To be entered to win one (1) of twelve (12) $1,000 prizes, simply reply to the question below!
Yep, it’s that easy!
