When you attempt to master the art of multitasking during a Freezer Day, realize that having a definite plan of attack in place is a good thing.
Otherwise, you might have to admit that your multitasking mind is not as sharp as it used to be.
But, if you stop by my place in about ten minutes, then these yummy appetizers (served for dinner) will be all done, and that will make up for the cottage cheese in my appliance “garage.” 🙂
Do you know what they are?
Definitely something I would do!
Haa – I just love it..nothing like the milk in the pantry and cottage cheese in the garage! Those yummies look like the workings of twice baked potatoes…yum!
Potato skins??? If so, I’ll be there for dinner tonight. Yummy!
Potato skins! With bacon and sour cream and chives, please! : ) MMmmmmmm…now I’m REALLY hungry!
And I laughed out loud at the cottage cheese. I once put shredded cheese in our utensil drawer. ?????
I have no idea what they are. I was wondering how you manage to homeschool and have a freezer day.
Well, freezer days are the best home-ec class
ever. My girls helped me the whole time, but as far as “book”academics, definitely a half day teacher workday. 😉
Looks like you’re going to be making mini twice-baked potatoes!
I’m with several other commenters – mini twice baked potatoes? I did a one-hour meat cooking fest the other day – cooked almost 15 pounds of ground beef into almost 8 meals of chili, tacos, meatloaf, cheeseburger pie and hamburger helper! Feels good to have that in freezer!
mm – we love potato skins here!! I don’t make them often enough.
Last year I found a recipe for bacon wrapped water chestnuts. It was amazing and relatively simple (though not entirely effortless).
I love appetizer style foods! I can’t figure out why people pay so much money for them premade at the store when they are simple to make yourself for so much less!
hilarious! you know why I’m doing things like that these days . . . baby brain . . . hmm . . . . kelly
A friend I know made cheese puffs one day. the cheese puffs were sweet. They weren’t supposed to be sweet. Instead of flour she used sugar. =}
