It never ceases to amaze me how the spontaneous, crazy and FREE things in life become highlights of our family time.
I love instilling a “be easily amused” mentality; it reaps rewards by children who enjoy frugal family fun.
Everyone joined in the dog pile – even my mom, the grandmother of thirty. And boys will be boys no matter how old they are; my brother proved it by getting her right at the end. You have to love how boys take care of their mothers. 🙂
(This started off our devotional time for the evening at our family reunion. We are so spiritual…haha.)
I love this video! We had a great night last night playing monkey in the middle – in the living room, which I normally never allow. The kids are still talking about it!
Most of the time the best memories are made from doing things that are totally free. Kids value our time waaaaay more than our money!

Dog piles are the best! We’re working on a list that defines our family … Dog piles are definitely on that list.
I loved this! Maybe me smile and giggle along. Grandma to 30?! What a rich heritage!
Just contrast that with an evening of tv watching.
Love it! We call that “The Loooove Pile” (sung to the tune of “the love boat”) – many years of love pile-ing here in Louisiana!
LOVE THIS!!!! And when I saw your mom watching with excitement and then get up to join the dog pile, I had tears!!! We are easily amused as well 🙂
How crazy sweet is that! I love big family moments like that! Since my cousins, sister, and I have grown up, we have to relive moments like that on facebook! : )
