James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…
Few receive the calling to adopt, but what of yourself can you share in the mandate to look after orphans and widows?
Don’t miss the opportunity “for such a time as this…”
Both in the United States and abroad, children are craving time…time in your arms, time at the table, time to simply celebrate the gift of life.
This is your time…
Wow – great reminder. I so admire your sister for living out what Christ says.
Oh Jen, I’d forgotten until this week reading your blog how in love I’d fallen with all the sweet kids I met while on a short term mission trip in Mexico. I want to just go back and get them. It breaks my heart that they might be hungry or cold tonight.
I would love to adopt a child or two or ten. My husband doesn’t feel the tug, but I pray that he will if God wants this for us.
Adoption is my heart. I’m new to your blog, but this topic caught my eye. We have 2 bio sons and 2 little angels straight from Guatemala…. Our girls have been such a blessing to our entire family. God provided everything we needed to get them both home….We saw so many miracles along the way. Our youngest baby is 2, and she is literally one of the LAST children to be adopted from Guatemala. She was like an unexpected pregnancy…..:) I wrote a brief synopsis of our adoption stories on my blog a couple of weeks ago. I would love to share our story with you if you wanna hop over there for a visit….. Adoption Rocks.
Jen, what a great post. Thanks for reminding me that there are things I CAN do, even if it’s not actually adopting.
