It’s football season, and in our home, that means the grill is on fire quite a bit. Back in June, I shared our family’s love of all things “brats,” and being from Wisconsin, there’s just something synonymous with brats, cookouts and football. It’s funny how it dropped below 80 for the first time in awhile, and I quickly started yearning for sweatshirt weather.
So this “Everything but the Chop” Brat Burger was a huge hit in our home when the grill was fired up last weekend. It combined many of our favorite flavors.
(Edited to delete information about the Burger contest since it’s finished.)
So, is anyone elses thoughts turning towards fall foods?
With my garden completely dying out last month, my meal plan is starting to glance towards fall weather recipes. Now if only our thermometer would agree with that.
Simple Rules for Tasty Tuesday Parade of Foods – As always, please link directly to your recipe post and not your blog URL, so that everyone can find the recipe months from now.
Also, link back here so that everyone can join in the fun, it’s just common courtesy of blog carnivals. Please do not link up a recipe meme that you have started. Thanks for your understanding.
hey lady! still finishing up our favorite summer recipes…though i did make chili on sunday for the first time in months! i’ll have to think on the burger recipe…i have a few favorites that i’ll have to leave!
Yes, I’ve been “holding off ” on the fall yummies right now. It’s like as soon as school starts, I want to break out the pumpkin, apples, cinnamon, chili, etc. But, our weather here this week is low 80s and moving into the 90s later in the week..gotta love Ohio weather. You can experience all four seasons in one week it seems like! We have brats at least once a week in the summer, and I’ve been wanting to try these burgers when I saw them at the grocery. I might have to try them.
@Carrie @ My Favorite Finds, the same is true for Michigan. Rainy & cold this morning/sunny and warm this afternoon. But we had lasagna for the first time since spring just last weekend – yummy! 🙂
Jen, I’ll take a look for these burgers, love your blog! 🙂
Those burgers look great! Thanks for sharing!
Wow I wish we would get some proper warm weather here – England kind of missed out on summer this year. Luckily we had a holiday in Toronto and California so we got to see some sunshine!
Those Brat Burgers sound really tasty. Thank you for sharing them, and for hosting!
My garden is on it’s last leg so I’m really starting to yearn for fall. But a quick look at the weather for the next 10 days shows it’s only going to stay in the 90s. Fall seems like a long way off. 🙁
I did it! Thank you for sending this contest out! I sent in my favorite recipe w/ brats! Wish me luck ……. I could really use some free groceries to feed my growing family!
YAY!! Let me know your recipe title to verify and you may win my $50 gift card. So far you are the only one who said they entered. 🙂
I entered the contest. My recipe is the BBQ Mushroom and Swiss Burger. Thanks for the chance to win.
