Container Tomatoes…Free 5 gallon buckets from local bakeries, tomato plants both from seeds and from a local green house, and soil from my compost pile. I don’t have a lot of sunny spots in my yard, so the buckets let me chase the sun (in theory at least until the plants get too big to move). So far the plants look pretty good. I even have a marble size tomato on one of them. I used determinate type plants, which make less vines than the indeterminate kind. I figure it is worth a try!
