Well, this will be a completely superficial post since I just got back from my music rehearsal (I am leading carols at our womens’ tea tomorrow evening), am crazily packing for my whirlwind trip to Disney (or should be) and should have no time to type, download pics (already had these loaded), be witty or even pretend to think that I possibly could be…..(breathe, Jen, breathe), so with that “little bit” being said,
I give you my before and after –
Which doesn’t look much different because I just couldn’t pull the big “make over” trigger in my head.
Yes, I am a chicken, but think of the thousands $$$ I save because of it.
You know what one of my best friends said about my cut?
“Healthier”….wow…thanks a lot! 🙂
4 inches later…yep – healthier.
But in my defense, the before typically didn’t look that bad.
Everyone had left the building and I forgot to get one.
She didn’t want me to post this since we didn’t have all our morning makeup on yet…hee hee.
Can anyone tutor me on how to photo shop eye shadow into a picture?
Or when she visits NC again, I told her that I would “book” her up all day long at my place..
Can you imagine how much fun we’d all have? Cheap hair services for you, mixed with meeting blogging friends IRL…all day. 🙂
I am boring…there’s not much you can do when I insist that I MUST be able to keep it in a pony tail. It’s my trademark.
Picture it white now …with Christmas gold balls hanging from it…and cracked globes.
Have I ever mentioned that I am an impatient crafter?
But just wait til you see my Martha Stewardized. Fabulous, if I do say so myself. And it will get posted…from Disney, along with my handmade Jesse Tree ornaments, and ideas for organizing your own ornament exchange next year.
Just think of all the time I will have to blog when I am on vacation!!
Oh – I decided to download the poor pitiful thing anyhow.
But what potential it has!!
For all you ladies who don’t like your light fixtures…seriously, you can change the color of them in five minutes (or ten….if you take off the globes first 🙂
I can’t wait to start looking for lighting fixtures at yard sales. I have always been too afraid to tackle them, but not any more. Lesson learned, and I won’t do it again.
See anything missing? No, not those. Those are my wonderful thrift store berries that I found this week for my gorgeous garland. $1, and that bag full is what I have LEFT OVER!
Behind them….hmmm……is that where they should be?
In a corner, under a table, next to my guitar which is by my bountiful berries?
Here’s my life lesson for the day.
Next time your servant oriented nephew offers to help take off the globes before you paint them – take him up on it.
The “don’t worry, Jared, I’ll just spray paint around them and wash them off when I am done” theory doesn’t work so well when you have a 140 lb yellow lab puppy who just wants to hug, kiss and cuddle with you and doesn’t care about a silly ole’ chandelier.
Good grief….can I ever do this in 100 words or less.?
I should have never ever taken that speed typing course in high school.
Bad for blogging….
but I feel much more relaxed now thank you, and am ready for bed.
I love how your hair turned out. It looks great!
wow. she is great! how could she….uh… well, that’s good. I like your new hair.
Your hair looks beautiful!! I love getting a hair cut..feel like a new woman!!! Loookkking good!
Where to start, where to start. I love the new do. I too, have to have that pony tail even if it’s just a teeny tiny one.LOL I so want to be part of that hair cutting get together.
As for the chandelier, it looks great. I am glad to know that I am not the only one with a 100 lb. dog running under foot at times. Ours is a golden retriever. Love him!!
Have a great day with all of your bedlam and some beauty!
Your hair looks great!! Wish i lived close to New Hamp or NC!
Your hair looks great (not just healthy). I love the blond. Wish I could do that to mine.
Your hair looks great; I need about 6 inches off of mine.
You look beautiful! I love that you included the blurry mirror photo. My camera often does not read my mind to know what I want it to focus on. Technology! I have a brass chandelier in my dining room that could use a paint treatment. Maybe if I think about it enough, my husband will read my mind and focus on taking it down. Or maybe not. Husbands! 😉
Impressive! Both the haircut and the light!
Oh my gosh, Jen, I LOVE your new hair-do!!! You look like a movie star, girl!
By the way, there’s a little blog award waiting for you at my blog.
You look beautiful!!!! But then I thought you looked beautiful before too! 🙂 Enjoy the holiday season and take time to relax! 🙂
Your new haircut looks so cute!! I am in desperate need of a haircut myself! Also….
TAG! You’re it!! I’ve tagged you for a fun Christmas Meme over on my blog! 🙂 Have fun!
Love the hair girlfriend!! Wish mine would hurry and grow back. I miss it being long and having to fix it everyday now. I want my ponytail back…
Great hair!!! I love it. And the chandelier turned out well…I can totally see the potential! 🙂
ok I need to know your secret in painting the light fixture- what kind of spray paint did you use? I too have one of those ugly 80’s gold ones above my table. I want to paint it black or maybe a dark bronz-y brown.
Love your site- dont know how you do it will 5 kids- I have 3 (6, 2 and 3 mo) and my life is C-R-A-Z-Y
Your hair looks great, and so does the light fixture! 🙂
Your hair looks great! It’s still long to me:-) I bet it drys much faster now too.
LOL! You just make me happy Jen. I can so relate to your BEDLAM!! I’m just not poetic enough to post to a blog. LOVE IT!! I check you blog everyday now!
Your hair looks so nice! Your niece did a great job. Too bad I live so far from her…
You probably already know this but pink is such a great color on you!
Hello from SITS. What a multitasker you are. I can’t walk and chew gum. I like your new hair length.
I love your hair!!! nice job!
I just came over from Jenni’s at Nest to Keep. 🙂 Your hair looks so pretty – I love the photos of you in the mirror. And the light fixture looks great, too. I’d love to find all those berries you found at the thrift store!
Your hair looks wonderful! And I understand about needing it to pull back into a ponytail! Mine is growing out from a too-short cut that couldn’t go into a pony! Arg! 🙂
Isn’t it great how when you get a haircut, it takes less long to wash it? Love it! 🙂
Have a fantastic day and a great vacation! 🙂
Love the hair. Can’t wait to see the finished chandelier. Have a great trip!
your hair looks GREAT! I really like it.
Your chandelier looks great too and I think that cracked globes could be a good thing. I mean doesn’t that open up the possibilities of what you could put on there instead of the same old globes? I see different styles of light covers at thrift stores and then of course there’s always the selection at Lowe’s but then what about little shades or stringing chandelier crystals on wire and putting them around the light bulb. I did that once and it was a fun effect. I say this is your chance to think outside the box! Have fun at Disney. Kelly
Loved your hair!! It looks great. I hope you will wear it down some, now. 🙂
Hate me. I couldn’t access your email.
I’m gonna miss you Sunday!!!!! WAAAAH!
have fun I know you have to go but, I’m sad!
Your hair looks great! Love it!
Love that color too! I went red a couple months back HATE it and will be going back blonde next week! can’t wait! Now if I could just get mine to grow out that long =P
I LOVE it! It looks bouncy, full and fun.
WOW! It looks great!
Have a blessed and wonderful Christmas holiday season!
smiles, kari & kijsa
GREAT before/afters! You look ma-va-lous.
I love the haircut!!! Was that only 4 inches?
I had long hair most of my life, and I got the “healthier” comment when I’d hack off a chunk A LOT. I’m not sure what that means. That your hair looked sick or ill prior to the cut? 🙂
