Raising teens is not for the faint of heart, but I wouldn’t trade these precious day to day, in your face, “I love you anyhow” moments for anything.
I’m reminiscing over at (in)courage today about how my son showed love through the unexpected. And yes, I do believe that a Ped Egg had something to do with it.
Thank you for sharing this story. I needed to see this today. I am completely moved and can not thank you enough.
Hi! I found you through Incourage and love your posts! While I don’t have teens (yet – 2 boys are fast approaching though) I have seen my husband show that kind of love many times. Especially when our kids have been sick though the clean up of vomit. Gross, I know, but he always tells me that he will get it cleaned up. I think cleaning up vomit so someone else doesn’t have to is a HUGE act of service. Thanks for this sweet post and this evidence of your son’s sweet heart! I hope my 7 and 9 year olds will have that same sweet attitude. Blessings!
Oh … how I loved this post. With five 5 blessings from 4 to 13, I can so relate to your timely reminder of God’s calling and seeing Jesus at work in a tender moment with your teenage son. Precious!
Love & Blessings from Hong Kong,
