With fall temps around the corner (que chorus of angels who watch over us southerners), that means one important frugal fashionista fact, well, two if we’re being technical, BOOTS and SCARF season!!
My very first Frugal Fashionista posts showed my love of boots and scarves. In fact, the first two videos I did here on the blog both featured how to tie scarves. People loved them since no one had really done anything similar at the time, but I just crack up watching them now because there was no light and you have to squint to see what I am doing. It was definitely supply and demand. I could never post those now.
Believe it or not, I still have this dress and love it. It’s so versatile. One of the best few dollars I’ve spent.
Check it out – One Dress, Three Ways Frugal Fashionista post.
You know how I feel about accessories.
They make or break an outfit. It’s simple to dress up any yard sale tshirt with a great scarf and it revolutionizes the outfit. I love this simple fall look below. I have many white t-shirts. I have the jeans and the scarf, so now I just need to add the boots, a cute cardigan and this outfit takes you right into fall fashion season.
Since I know some of you will ask – the boots on the promotion come in black. They have a small heel and 3 buckle detailing. They are forgiving on a wide calf with more room than average. The infinity scarf comes in 8 different colors and is the perfect fall sweater scarf. It is silk and poly blend. You add the shoe size and scarf of your choice to your cart and then put the coupon code in at checkout, dropping the price to $32.95 & FREE SHIPPING with Code CELEBRATE
Now, I need to debate if I’m brave enough to wear those pants. Bold prints are completely in style this fall. I do believe they’ve come back around and she can totally pull those off. If I lost the extra ten pounds I’ve put on, I could, but bold prints on pants tend to add rather than diminish, so for now, I’ll stick to solids. 🙂
Are you excited for fall weather? Fall fashion? I can’t wait to layer things again.

Jen,
You’ve got your groove on, this is my favorite kind of B&B post!
I have seen these pants, very cute…..on some one like me 58y.o. with motherly hips, not so much. LOL!
I might try the pants with a long tunic though, might be able to get away with it. Love these frugal fashionista posts….Jen at her BEST!!
Come on, Mary – if I go for wearing the pants, you have to come along side me and give them a try too. 🙂
I say WEAR THE PANTS!!!! lol! I’m SO not about waiting to lose the 10lb…….or 30 in my case :O
I actually went and got the boots/scarf – and it worked! I was skeptical as I’m in Canada – only had to pay the $5 shipping – yay!
Thanks Jen
🙂
I am so glad it worked, Erin. Send me a pic once you get an outfit put together. 🙂
Oooo cute outfit! Can’t do heels right now, or I’d totally be be in 🙂
