(I shared the 80% off code last month, but for one day only, 90% off is being offered. I have never seen it this low, so grab some for great Christmas presents. I’m just reposting the details. :))
When I first shared about Restaurants.com last year in my post Eating Out – Frugal Style, it was so new to me. Yet after reading all your comments and enjoying the process myself, I realize this is a great option for eating out, without paying the huge price tag. Many readers shared how they have bought ahead for trips and I thought this was a fabulous idea. Read that post and comments for more info.
With the holidays approaching, I couldn’t help but share the code for this week only. If you TYPE IN THE PROMO CODE, and hit “apply,” it will take the additional discount off of your total.
You will be able to purchase a $25 Gift Card for only $1 and that is an amazing deal. It’s a great chance to try some new restaurants in your area, but make sure you read any exceptions/black out dates. Some of the gift cards are good for up to a year, others only a few months.
Enjoy a great date night with family, friends, spouse or kids and let me know how it goes.
WOW!!! I just racked up on great Christmas gifts for our friends for a whopping $40!! And our family will have a handful of nice meals for only $8 more! Thanks so much!
Did learn to beware of the fine print. Thought I’d try that online coffee place because they have lots of things with low prices, but realized after I printed that you have to have a $75 minimum purchase. Means I’d have to spend $50, plus the $2 for the certificate. Guess I’ll use it for Christmas shopping.
@Katie P., OH BUMMER….yep, any details like that are always mentioned in the fine print. Often, there aren’t any, but sorry you got one that was.
Oh, and I found that it works on gift certificates for the actual site! So a $50 GC to restaurant.com is sold for $20, then another 80% off so a grand total of $4! You can get a max of 10 😉 I essentially just bought $1250 worth of food for $40 – can’t beat that! (I am 99% sure I did the math right, but with 2 young children and another on the way, I can’t guarantee my brain is functioning on even half power).
How do the gift cards work? If you buy a $25 gift card does that mean that you can purchase one $25 restaurant gift certificate with it? Or can you buy multiple gift certificates to different restaurants when they are on sale for about $2 each?
@Stacy Sawyer, You can purchase as many gift certificates for as many restaurants as you would like. You can’t necessarily stack coupons. So you couldn’t use 2-$25 to equal $50 at one time, but you’ll get $25 in food for only $1. Quite the deal. We’ve used them all over, but just check the fine print at the bottom of each restaurant. Some have stipulations and some don’t. You can purchase for different cities as well, so if you travel, it’s great to think ahead. Most are good for many months some up to a year. Again, just check.
@Jens, Yes, I understand that about gift certificates. I’m trying to understand how the gift CARDS work though. Can someone use a $25 dollar gift card to purchase multiple $25 gift certificates (like when you can buy a $25 gift certificate for $2), or can they only buy one $25 gift certificate with it??
Thank you for the heads up!!
I appreciate you sharing this one. I got three gift certificates from different local restaurants for very little.
