I just wanted to let you know that I completely forgot to mail that check before we left for Michigan but it is on its way. My whole family loves Rice Krispie Treats and we experiment with all sorts of flavors and add ins.

My husband and I met at Taylor. We both lived in Swallow Robin Hall.

I am cracking up right now for 2 reasons: 1. I went to Indiana Wesleyan University (right down the road from TU. I hung out over there all the time and my husband and I had our first date at Ivanhoes.) 2. My roommate and I made Rice Krispy treats by the panful in college and would eat the whole thing in one sitting. That was during the fat free craze and we rationalized our gluttonous ways because Rice Krispies and marshmallows were fat free.

It's still one of my favorites...and totally NOT fat free because of all the peanut butter I stir into ours.

Just had rice krispie treats this weekend (with chocolate chips). A good, old-fashioned chocolate chip cookie is still my favorite!

I LOVE Rice Krispie treats!!!!!!! My favorite is to add about 1/2 cup of peanut butter to the marshmallow and butter....I could eat the whole pan alone. I then eat it for breakfast, telling myself that it is cereal and protien! :)

Yummy! Oops - I left my link as stop and smell, but it's at my other blog - Stop eating all the chocolates. Hope nobody gets confused!

I think we've always eaten my easy toffee cookies (made with saltine crackers) as our treat - in college and still do. Quick, easy & sooo yummy though it does require an oven!

Thank you. Thank you for saying that you'll pass up a more sophisticated dessert for this yummy treat. I feel exactly the same way. To be honest, I almost never order dessert at a restaurant. Though the dessert may be beautiful, I always feel that it's a bit of a let-down compared to one of my homemade (quite unsophisticated!) treats.

Love you, girl!

Wow! You went to Taylor? So cool. My husband, brother, sils, bil, neices and nephews, cousins, Mil,Fil, have all gone to Taylor University. All the way back to my husband's grandmother who passed away last year at 101 years old. Anyway, just had to share.
BTW, I'm just down the street from you in Oak Ridge.
