Back in August, I did a Cracker Barrel giveaway and shared my love affair with all things Cracker Barrel. Since we rarely going to a sit down restaurant with our big family, the one place we do prioritize is Cracker Barrel. It’s a family tradition and started back when my husband and I were first dating, and has continued on with our five children. Now, it’s the one restaurant that when I walk through the door, I immediately feel as if I am “home.”
It’s funny because my husband and sons have all their “favorites” that they order every time…mainly the “Uncle Hershel’s Breakfast.” YUM!
While the boys wait for the food, and play checkers, the three girls head for the Country Store. Now, this may seem odd, but nearly every December, I head to Cracker Barrel right before Christmas to shop in their Gift Shop. They always have unique gift items, and last year, they slashed many of their Christmas things 40% off BEFORE Christmas.

Finding this awesome star last year BEFORE Christmas at the Cracker Barrel Country Store for only $10 tickled me. Yes, I bought it for myself, don’t judge. 😉 You would be amazed at the beautiful products, as well as the great value with most of the items in the whole store priced under $20. There are so many fun gifts for the kids as well.
One of the things I am thrilled to share is that Cracker Barrel is offering free in-store gift wrapping and shipping (in the US) for those care packages you need to send out this season, as well as free shipping for on-line gift card purchases. In my opinion, there are not many more things that I would love to receive in the mail than my favorite items from Cracker Barrel. My favorite purchase from Cracker Barrel has been this little soft lovie I bought for my daughter when I was pregnant. It became her #1 lovie and now looks very well loved indeed. I’ll always remember that Cracker Barrel on I-10 in Tucson as the place where I got that little stuffed cat.

A couple of years ago, I found a really cute scarecrow/pumpkin couple after Thanksgiving. It was on clearance for a really great price, and I look forward to setting it out each fall. I absolutely love the Cracker Barrel store — they always have neat things.

I love to purchase new Christmas Ornaments at Cracker Barrel. I have found that there are different styles depending on where the Cracker Barrel is located. I especially love the Cracker Barrel in Pigeon Forge, TN. I also recently purchased a toy ball for my grandson at Cracker Barrel and it’s just COOL. He can toss it around and it has blinking lights inside that glitter and sparkle. He loves it!

We stopped at Cracker Barrel on the way to visit my parents and on our way home a few days later. My 3 boys thought that was the biggest treat. They all enjoyed some stick candy. There were so many cute things that we would love to purchase with that gift card.

I love that star, I had no idea Cracker Barrel carried things like that! My favorite purchase has always been the snack food but I can see now that I’ve been overlooking things!
We stopped at Cracker Barrel for dinner on a 9 hour drive to visit relatives, and the best thing we bought was an assortment of Dover little activity books. They have sticker books, coloring books, mazes, etc. and they’re pocket-sized- great for the car or at the table while waiting for food in a restaurant!

We love the Cracker Barrel!! We found a beautiful advent calendar made out of wood that plays music when you open each door. It is the shape of a house and the front is painted with all the wonderful Christmas staples. My girls love opening each door for a surprise as we get closer and closer to Christmas!!

My favorite Cracker Barrel purchase isn’t a ‘big’ thing. It is in the fond memories of stopping there with both of my children on a road trip and letting them brings handfuls of candy to the counter as special treat.
Cracker Barrel’s unique and vintage candies and the children’s excitement of shopping in the store after we ate make for some great memories. Thanks for asking….it’s nice to go back in time and think about those days.

My husband and I have a tradition that started when we were first married. Every year, around Christmastime, we go to Cracker Barrel for dinner and pick out one or two of their pretty Christmas ornaments for our tree, then we go out to look at Christmas lights afterward. We take the kiddos along now and it’s neat to see their faces as they look around the store and help us pick out our ornament.
I love that they always have the cutest sets salt and pepper shakers. I’ve purchased many of these! 🙂
Every time we go there, we MUST buy a package of coconut candies. My husband and I share the, and they bring back so many childhood memories. Yum.

My best ever purchase at Cracker Barrel was a lighthouse tee shirt and button up sweatshirt jacket. Lighthouses are my thing, especially NC lighthouses. This set had the NC lighthouses along with other east coast lighthouses. But then that Uncle Hershel’s breakfast is good also!

We always buy Necco candy there for the kids. It reminds me of my childhood and is a fun special treat.
I bought fidgets (sp) toys just this week for stocking stuffers.
My most favorite thing I have from Cracker Barrell is a BEAUTIFUL Cloisonné Christmas bell, blue over gold, depicting Mary and Joseph’s trip to Bethlehem. Mary riding the donkey and Joseph leading the way. This is the first ornament placed on our tree each year. I got this from Cracker Barrel several years ago and cannot remember just what I paid for it, but do remember that it was not more than $8.00. There were two at the store and I got both, one for me and one for a friend. My friend and I do not see each other often, as a matter of fact it has been since 2004. We just recently connected on facebook and she commented on the bell and told me each year she puts it on her tree she remembers the day I gave it to her. What a special place this bell holds in both our hearts!

I was just there on Thanksgiving having lunch with friends before they were off to travel to see family. My husband had to work that day so I didn’t plan on making a big meal. This was such a nice way to spend the holiday even though it was so packed with people. I love the store and so do my kids. We always have to come home with some of the peppermints.

My favorite purchase from Cracker Barrel would be the old fashion candy. I love to go into the store and show the kids some of the candy I had as a kid. I also like the jams and jellies.
My favorite purchase was a Marine Corps T-shirt. My father was a very proud Marine.
I think I may have shared this back in August but I’ll post it gain. Last year one of my twin boys wanted a turkey Webkinz for Christmas. That’s all he wanted. After searching everywhere possible with no luck, I stopped at the Cracker Barrel country store on a whim a week before Christmas.
After looking high and low in Cracker Barrel for a turkey Webkinz and not seeing any, somehow I found the courage to ask one of the store clerks. Well that very nice store clerk said she thought they had some leftover from Thanksgiving in the back but wasn’t 100% positive. Much to my surprise, she walked back in with not one, but five Webkinz turkeys! I literally almost hugged the lady right there in the store.
To see my son’s face on Christmas morning when he saw the turkey Webkinz peeking out made it all worthwhile. To this day, that turkey is well loved. We even put him on the mantle this year for a Thanksgiving decoration.
So my vote for favorite Cracker Barrel purchase is a turkey Webkinz! 🙂 Great place and awesome customer service! Thanks Jen for offering this giveaway again!

We got a couple of wonderful dress-up costumes for our boys for $6 (originally $39) at a CB sidewalk sale a few years ago. They have survived a couple years of rough boy play, so it was well worth it! One of the best toy deals I’ve ever gotten.
My favorite thing from Cracker Barrel is the beautiful Christmas ornaments. Several years ago my husband began getting me one each Christmas season and I treasure every one. I hope to have a tree full in the next 20 yrs of marriage.

I’d say some of my favorite purchases are various Christmas ornaments. They always have such cute ones! I’m so glad you posted about this because the only Cracker Barrel near us isn’t near at all, but it would be worth the drive, especially to check out the Christmas shop after dinner. I mentioned Cracker Barrel to my husband and we both said in unison “mmm, hash brown casserole!”. I think we’ll be making the drive soon!

We LOVE Cracker Barrel!! I just bought the sweetest fleece cape-like coat for my 5 year old – so adorable!! And we also got one of those repeating parrots as a gag Christmas gift for my Father-in-Law. He is gonna love it! But maybe not as much as my girls do!! 🙂

We love to eat at Cracker Barrel. There isn’t one in my town, but when we travel we try to stop. We love to pick up the old time candy in the gift store.
It’s been a long time, but my favorite purchase was a beautiful angel doll I bought for my Memaw years ago. She loved angels and this doll was just gorgeous! She passed away a few years ago, but my Mom still keeps the angel doll in what is now the toy room.
The Holiday Breakfast Basket is an amazing feast for the eyes and belly. 🙂

ha .. my most favorite purchase from Cracker Barrel was 16 years ago .. while making the trek to drop me off at college (my grandma came along for the 16 hour drive) .. we of course ate at a Cracker Barrel and bought this little chia head type thing. It wasn’t the chia material, more burlapish and grew long grass hair .. anyway .. he grew my entire freshman year and I called him Rufus .. he got regular hair cuts and was the only “boy” allowed in our dorm. haha!

We don’t really have a Cracker Barrel near us. However, when we moved down here – we always broke the 12 hour drive with a meal there. I enjoy walking around their store. My favorite purchases then, were the sticks of candy they have – they had a myriad of flavors, and my kids would each pick three – they were 10 for a dollar, I think at that time. We would get 15 – the kids each got three and DH and I got 3 to split. My favorite was their cinnamon one – and root beer – but the kids usually went for bubble gum or some other weird flavors. 🙂

When I was about 6 or 7, I said something to my grandma about having to go to other grandma’s for Christmas evening. I called the other grandma my old grandma. Grandma asked me, “Don’t you think your grandmas are about the same age?” If she thinks so, it must be true, so I said I guess. Then she asked me how old I thought my Grandma’s were. I thought about my other grandma who couldn’t walk without a walker since my mom was still a schoolgirl. “I don’t know, really old, up in the 90’s someplace.”
My grandma never let me forget that statement (she was in her late 50’s at the time). As an adult, I bought my grandma a plaque at Cracker Barrel that says “Grandmas are just antique little girls.” My grandma died at age 94. I now have that plaque and when I become a grandma, I will hang it in my house with pride.
Oh, I just lvoe that story. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

I have never been to a Cracker Barrel but love that star you bought.
CB is one of my all time favorite restaurants. The closest one is 45 minutes away so we usually visit other locations anytime we are on a road trip. I can’t go in their store without buying Buckeye’s!
this is our eating stop when we travel. we also bought christmas decor one year 40% off and still use it in our house.

My family and I LOVE Cracker Barrel too, but have to admit to always being drawn toward their classic candy and toy sections! Slinky’s, butterfly pull along toys, giant checkers…what’s NOT to love?

I bought my daughter her very first stuffed dog house and stuffed dog from there. I remember giving it to my daughter she would just laugh and laugh because if you pressed the little dog’s stomach it would woof at her. I love that store I could spend hours and so much money there!

My favorite purchase from Cracker Barrel’s store is a wire basket shelf that has little apples on it. My kitchen is decorated in an Applemotif, and the shelf fits perfectly on the wall next to the big window in my kitchen. It was just $11!

LOVE Cracker Barrel too! My latest purchase was a tree topper…its a green felt top hat. I am so happy! I’ve been looking for a perfect tree topper for our upstairs tree for 3 years. The second I saw that top hat I knew it was the one.
It is a bit of a drive to our closest Cracker Barrel, but we try to make the trip that way a couple of times a year. One special item that I have from Cracker Barrel is a recipe book called A Skillet Full, which is filled with recipes for using cast-iron cookware. Thanks for the giveaway!

I LOVE Cracker Barrel!! I love to sit near the fireplace there, when it’s cold outside! So comfy! My favorite purchase would have to be a Johnny Tractor book that my son got from there last year! My favorite purchases from the Cracker Barrel store have been their Christmas ornaments……..they have some really unique ones. Also, I discovered the WoodWick candles there after a delicious meal! I love that the candles crackle like a fireplace while they are burning.

One thing I love to buy from their store is those little Dover sticker books because the stickers are re-stickable. They are great for keeping in my purse or for travel because they are so small but contain lots of entertainment.

A few years ago I bought a patchwork print tea pot with a beautiful rose on it, I also bought one for my daughter. It sounds odd, but it is really beautiful. It is still a favorite for both of us.

We don’t frequent Cracker Barrel often (we rarely go out to eat) but my grandmother gets gifts from there for the holidays. I love their classic toys. My favorite purchase was the wooden peg game. Before my grandfather died, we’d play that game all the time when we went out to eat with them (They always chose to take us to Cracker Barrel). It’s very sentimental.

i bought a small chest with ceramic drawers that sits on my kitchen counter top. my grandchildren and i will fill it with things that start with the same letter. then we guess what is the letter is? tootsie rolls can be candy, tootsie rolls, or midgees, so it could be either letter c, t or m, depending on how it relates to the items in the other drawers. just a way to expand their way of thinking.
but my most favorite item from cracker barrel is always hashbrown casserole!

As a teenager, I collected black a & white cows. I was going to through a difficult time & my parents & I went to Cracker Barrel for dinner. I spotted a teddy bear dressed in a black & white spotted cow costume. I thought he was adorable but didn’t have the extra $$ for it. My dad saw me looking at it with a smile & then put it back. As we were getting in the car, my dad handed me a bag & the bear/cow was inside! It is one the most precious things my dad ever did for me & it all happened at Cracker Barrel!

I have tons of Cracker Barrell purchases! My husband thinks I am the only woman alive that needs a shopping cart at CB! The most memorable purchase was a beautiful serving bowl that I purchased at 75% off and used in a ladies exchange at church. It was such a hit that it caused much chaos. I never let on to my $5 purchase! It was great. Love love love CB!

When going to Cracker Barrel its an adventure. I has to be the entire family’s favorite place to eat. We get to have a wonderful “southern” meal, the kids can play checkers and sit by the fire in rocking chairs, and I get to shop. Besides the clothes, (in my opinion they have wonderful quality of them) I think one of my favorite purchases was my cast Iron skillet… and the bacon press.

Went to Cracker Barrel in Williams, Arizona and felt it was like a mini-Disneyland…loved it.!
We bought this push down penguin toy for my daughter when she was 9 mo old. It would pop and say “seasons Greetings”..She would giggle and giggle and giggle…Now my son plays with it too and giggles just as hard!
I got a sweet little blue bird pattern napkin holder and s&p shakers for my kitchen table. They have the cutest things. Love the clearance section!

My favorite purchase is the checkerboard playmat with large checkers. We use it when we go camping or to the beach. Provides hours of playtime for my boys. It folds up into a small bag so it is very portable. LOVE Cracker Barrel.
