If you’ve been reading my Frugal Fashionista series for any amount of time, you know I am all about dressing up my designer thrifted outfits with some great accessory pieces.

Since my love of thrifting allows me to find so many great dresses and shirts for just $1 – 10, I then use my extra budgeted spending money on accessories.

I have the privilege of working with Cents of Style this month as their guest editor. I love being able to introduce you to a company that was founded by two sisters with a flare for fashion on a budget, who share a great entrepreneurial spirit that I just adore.

When I opened up my goodies, my teenage daughter ran to these wedges and immediately declared them her own.  Fortunately, they are back where they belong – my closet. I posted them on my Instagram account (jenschmidt_beautyandbedlam), and you all went crazy as well. Wedges are everywhere this summer and the hint of mint at the bottom of these just make me smile.

Fashion Friday- 5/3/13-

To me, statement necklaces, scarves, shoes or a great pair of earrings makes an outfit. It’s the perfect frame to a picture, and allows so much flexibility. I could wear the same simple white T-shirt, but based on how I accessorized it, I can change the look dramatically.

I shared a few weeks ago that I was on the hunt for polka dots and prints. I found this cute shirt during that excursion and thought I’d experiment by adding this necklace. Yes, it’s completely out of the ordinary, but I LOVE the mix.

This necklace and earrings set also comes in clear, and I just love how it’s layered here with an additional pop of color statement necklace. Layering is a great way to continual change up your look and get additional wear from your favorite pieces. By enjoying some low cost,  fun trendy accessories, you can update your core wardrobe pieces from season to season. I love these necklaces. No, they are not the kind I am passing on from generation to generation, nor are they priced to be. They are just plain fun!

Coral and mint are the favorite colors this spring and summer, so I’ve been looking for ways to get my pops of color in when ever I can. This $1 JCrew thrifted white shirt is so incredibly comfortable. It’s one of those shirts that I could sleep in and that’s why I wear it continually. This statement necklace and the wedges frames this outfit perfectly. and I just love the pop of color that my capris give the whole outfit.

I’ve listed just a few of my favorite picks from Cents of Style, so go check them out. As their Guest Editor this month, they are giving all my readers 10% off when they use the code “Beauty,” plus free shipping.

I think my daughters enjoy Cents of Style as much as their momma.

My daughter wore their Silver and Pearl Statement Necklace.  paired with a casual Tshirt, but I dressed up a black long sleeve shirt and I was ready for an elegant night on the town. It has so much versatility. As I experimented, I doubled up the chain and wore it as a choker. I loved that look and will show it soon. This also comes with pearl earrings and by using the 10% off code, it’s only $13 shipped.

And our youngest ran to this head band. Can you believe how it matched the shirt she had on so perfectly? It’s adorable.

It’s definitely one of my favorite picks.

Cents of Style continually changes out their stock and that’s one thing I enjoy. Each week, they get in new items so you never know what they’ll feature next.

Some of you asked about these back when I featured them in my Fashion, Make Up, Jesus and Me post.

Both the necklace and shoes were from Cents of Style. They don’t have them now because they were winter features, but I am sure something similar will be back when we need them for the holidays.

Go have fun shopping and enjoy the extra 10% off, and free shipping.

I know I sure have.

What are some accessories that you are looking to add this summer?
